What is a Fine Art Portrait ?
Simply an artistic image that captures the essence of you in an artistic non-traditional style, maybe in a location to create a specific mood. The result is an art print or personalised book capturing a moment in time that you can treasure through the years.
A Fine Art portrait can be far more than a traditional photograph, it can be either a fantasy image or one that captures the 'real' person. Often created as a gift for a loved one, but also capturing a time in ones life that an individual wants to remember, for example a milestone birthday, anniversary or during pregnancy. Whatever the occasion we ensure you have an image that you will treasure forever as this can be a truly liberating experience.
How does this differ from a traditional photo session ?
A Fine Art session requires creating a specific mood for the image which is achieved with choice of costume, lighting, and location. One significant difference with creating Fine Art is in the planning and choice of location, or time of day for natural light. Even studio work requires some preparation as often a technical setup is required and props arranged.
final presentation...
The choice of attire is essential to create the desired style ranging from casual to formal evening wear, or artistic nudity if appropriate which is always approached sympathetically as any reservations will show in the final image.
