4 Day General Photography Master Class (Course MC1)
This course is primarily aimed at experienced individuals wanting to be more creative and further develop their skills, however it can be suitable for those with a basic understanding of their camera and wish to move forward more quickly. The sessions have plenty of down time for you to consolidate your new knowledge and to play.
Tuition is aimed a Digital SLR users, but is applicable to higher end non SLR's. Film camera users are welcome, but we would prefer to have either all digital, or all film users on one course to maximize the benefit to all students.
Duration - 4 days - group size 4 - 6
Objective : An intensive course that will take the individual's knowledge and develop their own persona style of photography from the initial idea right through to the final print.
Topics covered :
Image composition and working towards the final image.
Controlling exposure by understanding semi auto and manual camera control modes.
Use of natural and flash lighting both indoors and on location.
Techniques for capturing extreme natural light and working in the studio for portraits and still life.
Use of different lenses and filters.
The final section is to look at digital image processing and create a sample print from your own work for you to take away.
At the start of the course we ask all students their preferred subject so we may adapt the course content to suit the majority needs of the group. This allows some flexibility to enable students to get the most from the course.
