So, you have a wizzy new camera and want to get the best results right away, or maybe you have been an amateur for many years but want to progress and even make some income from your photography. Well, a training course aimed at your needs will definitely help move things along.

Introduction courses will give you an understanding and the confidence in handling your camera before deciding to progress into more specialised areas of knowledge.

You will be either a relative newcomer to photography or someone wishing to get more than taking snapshots from your camera. Popular with individuals wanting to use an advanced ‘point and shoot’ or SLR camera more creatively, or looking to purchase a new camera but unsure what to look for.

Getting more from your Camera (course ref C1)

Starting with the basics of image composition followed by a hands on overview of the capabilities in both Auto and Manual modes of your current camera or desired purchase. Popular with individuals with a general interest in photography.
Duration 1/2 or full day, longer by arrangement

An Introduction to Landscape (course ref L1)

After a quick look at the exposure modes we look at composition and use of creative viewpoints, time of day and weather conditions for the best light. This course is aimed more at individuals looking to take better landscape images.

An Introduction to Portraiture (course ref P1)

In this course we study composition and simple posing of non professional subjects, working with the sitter and simple lighting techniques to create the desired mood of the image and the best settings for your camera. Popular with individuals that want to capture better portraits of folk of all ages.

Fine Art Studio Workshops.

Aimed at artists new to photography or experienced photographers with an interest in creating fine art images within an art studio environment (can include a life model session) .. details and costs
