Fine Art Photography Workshops

Fine Art Portrait Workshop.

This workshop is aimed at the serious amateur, semi-pro or professional photographer looking to create both fine art portraits and / or fine art nude images.

We spend 2 days working with a professional model to cover posing, costume, composition and lighting to get the best from a photo session. We will also look at finding and working with models, and formal working agreements to make sure there is no comback in the future.

Day 1 is normally based in a studio and on Day 2 we will be working either outdoors or at a suitable location depending on the weather.

This course can include tasteful and discreet art nude work if appropriate but is not aimed at creating glamour style images. If required the workshop can be in one specific style.

Workshops are restricted to 4 students to allow everyone to have ample time working with the models, and having a smaller group will be far more productive for us all.

Dates :

These workshops are presently arranged on demand and are intended to benefit groups of students such as friends or club members. Locations can vary as a fair proportion of the work may be outdoors so the weather will be a consideration.

Costs : (approx)

Groups of 2 students - £450 per person
Groups of 3 students - £350 per person
Groups of 4 students - £300 per person

Costs may vary with choice of models and use of locations but will be agreed at the time of booking confirmation. Accommodation will be extra - please enquire for an all inclusive price.

A few FAQ's

Where will we be working ?
Depending on group size the studio will either be at our base near Killin in Perthshire or a larger studio as required. Locations will be planned after some consultation with the students at the time of booking as this will be influenced by the style of work and time of year.

What models do you use ?
For this style of work we will select a suitable model for the style of work required by the workshop. I will only commission a model that I have worked with before to remove the risk of us not getting the images that we want.
It is an option to use a semi pro or amateur model in some cases to reduce the workshop costs.

Will we be able to take our own photos for our own use ?
in short yes but there are some restrictions. Details available at time of booking.
