Photography Courses

The aim of the tuition is firstly to give the individual the confidence in using their camera and equipment, and secondly to inspire them to develop their own style of photography. Wherever possible I avoid the 'photography by numbers' approach to training and also the use of technical jargon.

Modules :

The essentials...
Camera basics - from an introduction for the beginner up to advanced camera techniques - this forms the foundation for the creative process.

Taking Better Portraits - Want to capture better photos of family and friends, this short module will give you some useful techniques to create lasting memories

Outdoor lighting - A short introduction to understanding and controlling natural light to maximize outdoor photography.

Getting serious..
Studio Lighting - for portrait and still life studio work using either a professional photographic studio or portable lighting for location work - this can include setting up a small home or office studio.

Digital Processing - taking shots from camera into computer applications to prepare for printing and presentation.

And finally..
Digital Manipulation - more advanced techniques in Adobe Photoshop to produce fine art or composite digital images.

Web Publishing - finally we can look at how we can take our finished work and publish onto the web.
