Iron Man
All day Sunday purple cooers, as you go about your various businesses, my darling First Husband will be taking part in his first IronMan.
Starting at 6a.m. in Austria,he will swim 2.4 miles across a lake, then cycle 112 miles then run a full marathon. He does not expect to finish until about 11pm. Not bad for my 45 year old toy boy!
I'd be so grateful if you could please keep all hooves, paws and claws crossed for his successful completion. A HUGE sum of money is being raised by him and his colleagues for Great Ormond Street Hospital (the premier children's hospital in the UK ,for those across the Pond.)
While the training has been long and hard on family life, his health and fitness has benefited greatly. He can get back into the jeans he wore to the pub to wet our first born son's head..11years ago!
Perhaps we will be able to open a few more wine bottles too once he is out of serious training mode!

Oh Eh - that brought back memories - my first even serious boyfriend is now a rather older Iron Man who lives in Australia - is mid 50's now and called Nick Bird. Blimely, dont tell me he is there also. Good luck from a slightly ruffled mousie!!
