who knows whom?
Come back from a few days off and you're all ill?! Nooo....lots of vit C, zinc and echinacea please matron. And a large dose of Calpol.
Fabulous answers to my nosey mag question..... but now I'm wondering this.....so many of us seem to live in little enclaves (ie large Suffolk contingent; ditto Wales and Northumberland) I was wondering who's met (in the flesh, so to speak)?
I've met Milla (but then we knew each other before) and have met Bodran/ragrug (hurrah).....and looking forward to catching up with @themill and hopefully Withy too on our northern sojourn... Sooooo, if you have met another purplecooer, tell us something we don't know about them!
I'll kick off: Milla has more books than a library and a large heap of trainers by the front door (flipping healthy bunch - they run!)
Ragrug's house appeared in a homes magazine (not CL) and has the most stunning wooden carved windows. Plus she has a zillion dogs (and a compost loo) and she used to make wind-chimes.

Never met another purple soul - is it a good or bad idea - is it best that we imagine our virtual friends - what you do feel Jane - oh and in my last picture above of the Heiress I see your books get a bit part behind her!!! love mousie

Hello Jane. Good question - KittyB and I are meeting up (hopefully) when she comes to Cornwall in a couple of weeks. Of course, we may bottle out at the last minute or, alternatively, we may out the bottle and get plastered! Am excited and nervous at the prospect as she sounds so lovely in her blogs. Shame that the overwhelming worry of being found inadequate in terms of conversation, humour, intelligence, gossip, etc are keeping me awake at night!!!! xx

I think it's a hard one....I was quite nervous about meeting ragrug - but it was fabulous.... Pipany, sure you and KittyB will have a fabulous time.....I'd definitely go for getting out the bottle, rather than bottling out! And don't be daft - you won't remotely be found inadequate!! We're all just friends we haven't met yet! jx

Well of course I have to go one better and have not just met Lixtroll, but live next door to her and teh Janitor. Big problem if we ever fall out . . . .
She is completly barking and the first person I have met I can totally relate to. We think so alike it is scary . . . I will think something and then she will say it and vice versa. We call it same brain syndrome.

Hey, Pipany, I'm meeting KittyB too! She must be doing a grand tour of us all. Will feel huge and old compared to her and not a little leaden - have you seen her lovely Room To Write section off her main blog? Jane is fab, just fab and has just as many books as me and several more candles. Plus she can do all the mystic stuff, tarot etc and runes, which scares me slightly. I might not like what she finds ...

great question. I have met jo (bodran) and she is lovely. She has an amazing field full of trees they have planted and an astonishing number of dogs. Have also met katrina who blogged as elspeth but who hasn't really got involved in this site, mainly because she is singlehandedly running a b and b. she is great, sparky and lively and probably unpredictable if that isn't a contradiction. Would go for it if you have the chance mousie!

Sally a la Chateau and I have conversed profusely by telephonic aparatus and she is as witty, delightful and well bred as she appears in print I am sure you will be pleased to hear. We have even exchanged photographs I have hers on my writing desk she mine on her piano however we both have sworn a pact never to reveal the others true identity, surfice to say she looks as sickeningly elegant as one would expect.

If I'm honest I'd be EXACTLY like Pipany. Would love to see you all but would also feel sick with worry -I know how silly!! Although I appreciate I have bared my soul a bit and so may feel more vulnerable than others.
Part of me does wonder if this site works so well because we DON'T know each other. I do visualise us all meeting up some time and guessing who each other are!
warm wishes

Oy you lot, stop talking about me behind my back like I'm not here.
Ye daft lummocks, Pipany and Milla - I won't find either of you lacking at all, I'll take you as I find you, I'm most non-judgmental. My husband has warned me that you may well be 70 year old men in macs, hey, maybe I am!
I am doing bloggers tour of the UK! Am looking forward to seeing virtual friends, just have the feeling we will spend the evening(s) in tears of laughter.
I will wear my purple cardy so you recognise me. An old git in a mac and a violet cashmere cardy won't be hard to spot! Ho ho ho.

The only one I think I live close enough to is Her on the Hill....I wonder whether we know each other?
Oh dear, every time I have a quick look in here, I think of Faith's Angel Card for me and have to dash back off to my packing-room (21 down, 11 to go)

Of course I want to meet you all don't I ? Now His Lordship is demanding to know who this woman is called Un Peu who has me screaming with laughter down the phone, she is even funnier than her musings. How flattered I am that my portrait is on her desk, I do so hope its an elegant Davenport.

Sigh.....no likely to happen unless I go to New York, or one of you heads this way...or there is a gathering with enough notice for me to get across the pond.

Oooh no, let's not get started on blind dates! I once went on one and ended up running down the road as he was seriously weird! But that's another story - or another thread maybe. Let's do that one tomorrow eh?
C'mon you Suffolk lot, surely some of you have met up?? Or are you all really truckers from Crewe?
