The Traveller Returns and the Email, too.

I had just blogged last Thursday - in something of a hurry as usual and after having some trouble with putting up a pic that I had taken of the garden - when my internet connection crashed. A JCB or maybe a screwdriver had severed my line somewhere between the junction box round the corner and the exchange. So I have been incommunicado until this morning when a nice BT engineer came round went away and then rang me to say the line was fixed. So I never got the chance to announce that I had blogged. And as there doesn't seem much point in saying I blogged last Thursday on the 'I have blogged today' spot and as in any case last Thursday is really a very long time ago now and as I hope to blog tomoz anyway I mention it only in passing with a big thanks to those wandering adventurers who nevertheless dipped into Corner Cupboard while I was away and left a nice little comment. As things turned out I was away at the weekend and crossing the Channel on the stormiest night I can remember for a very long time and so therefore couldn't have emailed anyway. Thus the severing of the line was moderately timely in so far as these things ever can be.

Next time you cross the channel would you mind leaving the stinking British weather your own side please!
Welcome back anyway ! You know if you don't want to speak to us you can just pretend not to be there cutting the cable and freeing the country seems a trifle excessive I feel !

Welcome back - you'll have lots of reading to do. I'd rather be without the telephone than the internet!
