Just to cheese you all off
I'm sitting here waiting for the Tesco delivery - sorry I have given in, but not being able to drive at the moment and OH working funny hours, well for gawds sake we've got to eat - any road up, I thought I would let you know that my Mum has just got back from shopping. She popped in to the charity shop to look for a new raincoat and walked out with a nearly new gents navy blue Burberry for - wait for it - £8. I looked it up on their site and new they are £710. Coo jammy or what? I told her if she decides she doesn't like it we can put it on ebay.

Oh berlimey - well done . . . I always seem to be the one who pays over the odds for stuff on Ebay - although got my Purple wellies a bit cheaper.

I do hope you are fully dressed! Couldn't be without my delivery I am afraid. Monthly shop for six requires all the help I can get.
Ebay is great for me but all I ever find in charity shops are books, certainly no wearable bargain clothes. I don't think I shop in the right towns I'm afraid.

Delivery sounds lovely - just heard on the weekend that our local store will deliver, just not sure yet how far. One newspaper will deliver up here but another won't.
Your mother's bargain sounds a treat! I love the 'thrill of the hunt' and can't pass up a thrift shop or flea market.

I might have to get Tesco in as well I am afraid. I figure he can deliver to at least 14 in one trip and that saves 28 vehicle movements - there and back - and my old joints cant stagger round the town today.
I do love a bargin but I dont think I ever managed Burberry - lucky mum.

Well that is a real bummer for you Toady. Matron can a Headmistress say bummer . . . oh . . . s*d it I did. I hope you find your nerve again when the time is right - not a good place to be in - but only a temporary stop over.

Errrr....what's the matter with Tesco deliveries then?. ... I cannot face Supermarket shopping without a panic attack.. cannot drive at the moment either..They take all the plastic away with them and deliver to 14 other people at the same time ...saves an awful lot of cars trolling into town. I also have a friend who is 75 and just lost her husband .. without Tesco she would be sunk... so lets hear a few cheers for Tesco home delivery instead of apologies!
