Don't you ever let me hear you complain about your eye sight again!


Nice to know that failing eyesight has its advantages although I suspect it helps to have talent to start with though .. click on the link above .. I wonder if I tried shutting my eyes to paint my work might improve a little..

    Gertrude Jeykll is thought to have used colour in a similiar way, as most her life her sight was poor, and it was colour , not detail she worked with. I have also seen discussions about Turner in a similiar light (pun intended).

    It would certainly explain a lot about my work . . . must remember to remove the dark glasses some time and see what happens . . . but they look so darned COOL!

    I'm very short sighted so this is what my vision's like before the contact lenses go in... still makes me a cr*p artist though!

    Right does that mean the reason I am so useless at art is because I have perfect vision and there is hope for me yet.

    I love monet's paintings, in fact love all French Impressionism.
    Although not an artist in paintings, but in music, did Beethoven not eventually go blind?
