Confessions of a serial mower - a coincidence

Odd things often happen to me, but this one today was extraordinary.
To cheer myself up and to buy a little something new for the summer I popped into a nearby market town where they have a lovely boutique. I explained to the friendly lady who was serving what I wanted and said it was my anniversary tomorrow, and that I wanted to trendy myself up a bit.
"Its my anniversary tomorrow as well she said"
"Really I said" "How many years have you clocked up"
"23 she said"
"Gosh, same as me I said"
Saturday, 19th May, 1984.
We giggle and laugh and then it transpires we married in the same same town and register office, she at 12.00 noon and I at 1.00 pm. She remembered me turning up in a white VW Golf convertible!!
I kid you not, I had never met this woman before, she used to live the other side of the county, and there we were, joined by coincidence.
It was one of those "purple" moments that we seem to share here so often.
As far as I know, she does not know Princess Ann though!!!

    That's some coincidence!
Of course if you wrote that in a piece of fiction people would say "that would never happen!"

It is amazing, isn't it. You could swear someone is pulling levers. And yet sprinkle dots randomly on a piece of paper and they will cluster together, not be evenly spaced out.

Hope you all have fun tomoz!

No coincidences - meant to happen even if for no very good reason. I went to Russia and met a woman from Pennsylvania who used to ride with a hunt across my back yard, whose child went to a school in which I did a small practicum. I lived just outside of Philadelphia for three years, and we determined that we had been at the same party on more than one occasion. Too weird!

That is so spooky. What would be the odds of that occurence? Amazing co-incidence. What a nice purple moment though.

    warm wishes

    PS
I am writing something else at the moment and have just read what I had written before about coincidences, the fact that they are really just 'windows into the divine'.

Wow - that is truly amazing! (unless of course she has been stalking you these 23 years). Was she buying something for her anniversary, too?

What an amazing coincidence and how lovely! We called in a plumber once who asked us how long we had been married. Then he told us that the next day, he and his wife had been married 34 years. We were astonished; the next day was my 34th birthday! We had to keep checking the date and yes, I was born on the day they married. I was born in the morning, so when they tied the knot, I was having my first ever afternoon nap! Best wishes to you all.
