Confessions of a serial mower - Blossom

For Lesley I have weeded, and mowed and planted out my sweet peas on their wigwam on this bright, sunny breezy day. Whilst in the greenhouse I found this cactus lying up a corner where I had dumped it last year because it looked so sickly!! I have never seen it bloom before and here it is, for blossom, in full bloom.

I weeded too, all round my sweet peas, then sat down at the stroke of five as the church bells chimed, closed my eye's and thought of you all !!

I had to do the Church flowers thisafternoon, so I prayed for you and all people who mourn. Also for the souls of those departed that I know myself, or any of you know.
Then, by 4.0 I was on my knees in the herbaceous border whipping out the weeds and thinking of you all.
Lovely cactus - they seem to do that sort of thing - but spooky all the same.

That cactus is spectacular, and how special for today!
Peat & I have weeded all around the dog-run, mostly nettles and dock-leaves. It was pouring with rain here in the Scottish Highlands, then at the stroke of four the sun came out in all its brilliance, and a fresh little blustery wind blew in from the mountains and played all around us as we worked.
Also, at ten to four just before we started, Humpty asked me to pull out a few on his behalf, as he has been stuck in an office in London all week - some great big dock leaves from him too X

I weeded for two hours. The rain held off, the sun shone the whole time, it was windy but pleasantly warm. I thought of Blossom and tuned in to her friend and I can't explain it but I felt very happy the whole time and the message I got was that was how she wanted her friends and family to feel. To miss her obviously but to live happy lives. Makes sense doesn't it? And I had a sign, a dove came and perched on the bird table for a short while. Pity I hadn't time to get the camera. The dove of course is a symbol of love and peace.
Happy Days,
Caitx

I left the worst weeds for 4 o'clock, the horrid patch of ground elder by the back door, I had a good old clear out, and thought of Blossom, Lesley, and all of you and your loved ones .
It felt good and comforting. The rain held off, though came over very dark.
Wonderful how cacti just produce such amazing flowers out of the blue!

Many weeds hit the compost bin, or the council rubbish sacks this afternoon by the sound of things.
Wow what a cactus!

Just in from work and so lovely to read that everyone of us was thinking of Lesley and special people that we miss.
Mousie, the cactus is one of those ordinary little miracles that stop me in my tracks!
